Exclamation 2009 Maintenance Fee Thread

Just received my first 2009 MF bill due 10/1. I have updated that resort Desert Breezes in our database.

Please use this thread to provide Maintenance Fees for your resort. Include unit size and whether Real Estate Taxes are included. If a Special Assessment is involved please state that amount, in some instances when they are billed over a few years, state which year you are in. ie SA $330 year 2 of 3.

The more information we have in the database the better. I wish someone had the last 2 or 3 historical years of MFs somewhere when I was last thinking of a purchase.

This project relies on YOU our members. Many of you supported this effort last year http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...r-resorts.html and I hope everyone will again this year.

Lawren, with all the "games"going on within the industry, I believe it would be interesting if we had the following information.

1. Of course, the various yearly maintenance fees - with history
2. The name of the management company.
3. The name of the developer
4. HOA board - Owners only
5. HOA board - Developer(s) allowed with with members
6. HOA board - Developer only

If a few of us could develop a report and each take a small area (ex: I could take Missouri.), we could come up with some interesting statistics.

With this information and history perhaps we could give our members information so that they might get "robbed", as I have, from the scavengers at DRI.

Bill I agree that those are all fabulous data points to have in our system here!

Now we need someone to run with it. Once the data is gathered it can be input and I'll see if any others with edit capability for the resort database feel like taking that on. I believe it is just me Bill and Jeri.

I have tracked down a couple of 2009 MFs in the DRI forum. Like yours for Bent Creek, John's for CPR, Spence's for Powhatan and a few others. Thankfully they are in one thread.

Guys PLEASE don't make me chase this information down throughout the forums!!! This is a labor of love. Forgive me if I am asking you to repost prior information but I'm just one person and it simplifies things for yours truly if the info is posted HERE.

Lawren, count me in. What if we formally ask for volunteers for an area and get online one evening in the chat room and discuss HOW we can achieve this goal. Decide: The Information we need - Database or spreadsheet options - assignment of areas - data base analysis - goals etc. etc.

I know Ken is REAL busy, but I bet he could advise us as to how our group could coordinate our efforts. My phone number is in the RCI points ad. There is other DRI MF's listed in http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...tml#post269507

I've been doing some research up here in Maine while vacationing and the picture here is a bit cloudy because 3 of the resorts I've looked at have varying tax amounts- based on the week owned.
The resort I'm at(Acadia Village) has the following annual fees:

Phase 1(2 bedroom townhouses 2-6-6)- $ 295 plus up to $200 in taxes
Phase 2 (2 bedroom lock-offs 2-8-8)- $312 plus up to $200 in taxes
Phase 3 (manor house 3 br lock off 2-10-10) $ 437 plus taxes (may be over $200)

Harbor Ridge and Samoset also have tax amounts that vary by the week.

I'll post Williamsburg Plantation's numbers when I get home.

Lawren

I now have the figure for the 2 bedroom units at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort.

I do not have the breakdown as I did for the other units as I did not receive my actual bill yet. I traded a 1 bedroom for a 2 bedroom unit recently so I called an got the figure.

The 2 bedroom unit total maintenance fee $871.74

Thanks again Ben! I put in the 2BDRM this evening and also updated my Cape Winds as the bill came this afternoon for 2009 dues and Tony's Acadia.
