  • Wyndham credit pool - use/not use reasons

After searching the directory and asking questions here and on TUG, I get some input worthy of sharing. Correct me if I'm wrong.

As you find pluses/negatives please add to these.

    1. These points lose the ARP benefit.
    2. Points from cancelled reservations can not be placed in the credit pool.
    3. They can not be used to offset maint fees.

It does add $39 cost. And it is solely depended on Wyndham's policy. I know there was report the credit pool point run out twice in the 9 years span I become owners. It may affect mostly hugh point credit pool owner. And based on Stan's post, I have a feeling he get hit, but not sure how hard it was. Usually, it back up pretty soon, but if you eye's on some inventories that may get taken in 1 or 2 day's period, it is very much headacke.

That say. It allows you much more flexible since your points now live upto 3 years instead of just one. And it carry the HK with it, so if you are non-VIP, and don't need ARP, it will allow you to move extra HK to the future year.

Do you know for sure that partial weeks are obtainable from the credit pool?
And are the VIP discount points still there? We enjoy that feature and would hate to lose it.

How does one make reservations by using the pool credits? Can it be done on-line?
