  • Is there a Rosetta Stone or Conversion Table for points?

    I'm looking at timeshares....I see 68k points (Red week outer banks through RCI) 10k points (Bluegreen), 168k Wyndham points.....etc....

    Is there some kind of a Conversion factor (where there's a bench mark...like comparing the Dollar to Yen, Euro, etc.)?

    RCI = 1
    Wyndham = 0.1
    Bluegreen = 3.0

    (So each Wyndham is worth 1/10th of an RCI, each Bluegreen is worth 3 RCI points, etc.)...

    Thanks!

    Maybe a better question....

    How many points (in the various systems) to get:

    2 Br. Orlando Florida mid-summer TS (since I'm guessing most places/points systems have something there)...maybe I can figure out how points convert with those numbers...

      There is no such conversion, sorry.

      Use Wyndham's case, there are some time/resort/unit slot that if compare RCI point to Wyndham point, you will get 1:2 to 1:7 ratio.

      Just use one simple example, at 45 days, RCI point can ride week using 7.5k RCI point to 9k RCI point. Wyndham can use 28k.

      From that angle, 1:4 to 1:3 is about normal range.

        I had figured that trades (especially last minute) would be different..

        Maybe by what the resort values that time-share at:

        2 BR Orlando, mid Summer.....

        (Say for example I owned an RCI that they valued at 75k points...the next resort over is Wyndham and an equivalent unit is 200k points, etc.).

          I looked a little on Ebay...

          A 2br Orlando Wk 27 (I think it was...definitely mid summer)..was 224k points through Wyndham.

          RCIs point chart lists Florida, Red 2 Br at 57k (however, I've seen some auctions saying 90k+ points for a 2 Br, so it may not be valid).

            For RCI point chart, you can go to RCI site, search a resort, and if it is RCI point resort, you can look up their point. A gold crown resort armed with developer will have very big point require than old resort.

            You should be able to find Wyndham's point chart for various resorts at Orlando at forums.atozed.com
