I own a number of units there and the occupancy limit is strictly enforced. They will fine or boot you out if they find out. Fire regulations

Did you have to tell them to look on the weeks side for them or did they figure it out themselves?

All I had to do was say what area I was looking for. I started my booking in a 1 br unit and the next day switched to a 3 bedroom. The first call back the RCI agent said there is no avalibility for anything there.. thought that was weird so about 30 mins later I called back and got another agent and she found a few 2 br and two 3br units. So I guess its all in who you get as your agent.

Should be FUN. i'll write a review on it after the trip.

I have to say this though. This was my first time usign RCI and they did make it realy easy. Makes me feel a lot better about my choise in buying a TS and gettng RCI.

Start planning for 2012 now and you may get to continue to feel that way, especially if you find yourself thinking about a July or August vacation....

I just tried to do the same thing and failed. I tried to book a weeks unit at a points resort using my points and I was told I would have to have a weeks deposit to get it. I'll try one more time.

Success the 2nd time. I was told that if I have a problem again to tell them to book it on swap. They pull the unit and put it in your name and send a form to the swap team for approval. Confirmation is not instant in some cases depending when you request it but it should be done in a business day.

So what did they charge you for points? Did they use the generic points grid or the resort specific points grid?

The rep seemed to think it would be the resort specific amount which makes sense to me since I would have had to do a standard reservation to reserve at this resort. She wasn't sure and it has not been approved yet so I can't tell. The following week at the same resort was 47K. The 2009 generic grid listed this unit at 40k so its not that big of a difference. Is there a 2010 or 2011 grid out there somewhere?

That's what I have heard in the past although I've never done it myself. Wanted to see if anything had changed.
