  • Diamond Club Points combined?

My wife and bought points a couple years ago from Sunterra which became Diamond Club. The maintenance fees practically doubled. We are currently financing through Diamond. We are considering getting more points but want to get them resale. What I don't know is if we buy points outside of Diamond can we combine them when booking a trip. The salesman at Diamond said no at our last meeting. We have 4000 and would like to add another 3 to 5000. Any thoughts?

DRI may charge you to bring in those resale points or make you buy some points from them at their more expensive rate.

I would make sure that you get points in the same collection. If you do so you, you can use points for the same collection. So if you have US Collection resale points and the US points you have from Sunterra you will be fine only within the US collection. However, the resale points cannot be used to go to DRI's Hawaii properties. The points you bought from Sunterra can be used for those properties and any other DRI property in their system.

    I hope this helps.
