I used to own a lot of Vacation Village Weston units participating in RCI Points, as well as a very large number of timeshares. I've spent the past two years doing my best to bank, save, and of course reserve units for exchange - I've taken almost 30 trips in the past two years!
However, I have 300,000 RCI points which will expire at the end of Aug-2011 which I already saved twice so they are dead if I can't figure out what to do with them.
I'm looking for an RCI Points member to help me. RCI says in order for me to be able to use these points past Aug-2011 my only option is to find another RCI Pts participating member and transfer my points to them. In order for this to work, the member I transfer my points to must have an anniversary date later than Sep (My Anniversary date). Ideally the member I'm looking for will have their anniversary date in December, but Nov and Oct might work for some of my trips.
Most of the trips I'm interested in requires the Pts member to be RCI Platinum. If you're not Platinum I will pay your Platinum $55 membership fee for the year!
I'm willing to discuss incentives for one of you to help me, I'm hoping if you're not Platinum you will be happy with the complimentary membership, or maybe in lieu of the complimentary membership, we agree you use some of the points and I use most of the points. But I guess a lot of it depends on your anniversary date and how many people offer to help me do this!
I anticipate making 2-6 reservations for travel Sep-Dec and I'd probably be able to reserve all of them at the same time. I agree to pay the exchange/reservation fee as well as the guest cert fee.
