I'm not familiar with Global Choice. I'll have to play around with it a little more.

OLCC has a long history of trying to force it's captive-audience/owners to ante up significant sums to continue doing what they are already doing, masquerading as an upgrade. Then they back down after they tap as many gullible owners as they think they can.

Ask an owner how many times their phone rings when they are there on vacation. (The last time we were there, because we did not ever answer the phone, we missed out on two free 2-bedroom, beachfront SW FL exchanges from RCI.)

It's a fairly common Orlando thing, using existing owners as a cash cow.

JMHO . . . your mileage may vary.

I agree that OLCC, Shell and DRI and others want to upsell their owners whenever possible. I have been to several presentations over the years and heard all the pitches. After I see what I like, I pick'em up on the secondary market. Mostly on eBay. I hate to think about people that buy a unit for $15-20K and then pay another $8-10K to upgrade when you can pick them up for $1.

I don't know what the solution is for buyers on the primary market. I have a wife and three kids and they have worked great for us. Not much fun to be tied up in a small hotel room with the whole family.
