It is possible to use resale weeks to up your Status from Gold to Platinum, even Silver to Platinum You will have to make a small (50000-100000 points) from Wyndham to make it happen but it can be done Its called the PIC program

It is also possible to convert certain weeks contracts at certain Wyndham resorts to VIP eligible points. This also requires a direct Wyndham purchase I went from nothing to Platinum with a $12000 purchase, ($6000 down $150 a month for 5 years.)

I have another Platinum account that was done with all resale contracts. I think I know the formula to duplicate that, but Im not sure...Ill let you know if I can make it happen again
