Any "Stop Payments" Experience - Wyndham Monthly Payments
While we hope you and your family continue to experience years of travel memories with us, we understand that isn’t always possible. Shouldn’t those years of unforgettable experiences be applauded?
We’re proud to introduce Ovation by Wyndham — a new program offering credible options for owners who are ready to transition to the next phase of their travel
You were right with Encore too. For a few months before it was formally announced as Ovation, they were taking some back under what was being called the Encore program
Appreciate the information. I'll have to check into Ovation.
Anyone have an idea what is involved and who to contact?
Robert, I suggest you read thru the thread I linked to above at TUG as there is good information and then contact Wyndham directly via phone and ask about the specific program mentioned.
I know there was several options available in terms of when and how you deed back the contracts.
They are not accepting everything but by contacting them, you will know.
It can be very difficult to stop the automatic payment once it is in place. I've had several clients who would contact their bank to stop the monthly timeshare debits, only to have the "authorization" resent to the bank by the timeshare company which simply restarted the automatic debits again on the next billing cycle. I'd recommend that you contact your timeshare company and request to be switched to a monthly invoice through the mail. Then, speak with your bank and attempt to freeze the targeted account. If you have other "automatic payments" set up your bank may tell you it's not possible without canceling all of them.
I was very surprised at how difficult it can be to keep someone out of your bank account once you've given prior permission.. Same issues seem to occur with the credit card payments, although those are much easier to just dispute.

You are correct. MC won't stop the charge that has been ongoing. "Not disputable". Only Wyndham can stop the charges.
