    Point Cost

I agree with opkansas, points are great if your cost per point is low. Mine is .004. Just take your maintenance fee and divide by the number of points you receive when depositing. Example $440/121,000=$0.004 per point... 363,000 points per year and counting!

The 9000 points are ONLY in RCI weeks.

RCI: How do I get a vacation for only 9,000 Points?

You can maximize the value of your Points when requesting
a Weeks Resort Exchange 45-days or less in advance of
confirming your exchange. You'll be able to confirm your
vacation for the Points value equivalent to the region's
lowest season (red, white or blue time) and smallest unit
size, or 9,000 Points, whichever is less.

Now I know why I have been seeing higher point
values for various Orlando units 45 days or less.

RCI Points - External Exchange - Regular or within the 45 day window

Do you get any type of discount when trading back into your (points) home resort ?

No. Any exchange using RCI points into a Points resort requires the full number of points allocated for that specific week. If you go to the RCI website, each points resort will have a table of points required to book each specific range of weeks.
