    1. No charge to set up weeks for PFD
    2. Yes, they charge $26 per week you PFD, was free until January of 2006 (RCI changes the rules so often that you never know what the price will get up to.
    3. $99 for a week, per night is like $49 (too high)
    4. Weeks side, same as week for week trade, now $164
    5. $99 per year for membership, I think it is $465 for five years ( too bad I cannot pay for that with points.)
    6. I think it is $49 for airlines tickets each and $69 for the Disney tickets, no matter how many you buy.

Someone should correct me if I am wrong, meanwhile I will look for answers on my points account.

        Points for Deposit:

90 days or greater (of check in date) -- you get 100% of points
        89-46 days -- you get 75%
        45-30 days -- you get 50%
        29-0 days -- you get 0%

        Transaction Fees for Points reservations:

        5+ nights = $99
        3-4 nights = $79
        1-2 nights = $49

All of the fees for Points can be found on RCI.com. Go to "The Answer Place" then click "Fees and Forms."

I don't believe you get FF miles when you get a ticket using RCI Points.

is quality rating a factor in rci points. Will a gc points home resort see the same thing as a standard rci points resort will see on the weeks side ?

              what about the points side

Points sees everything, no quality factor involved. At least not yet and not that I know of.

My experience when I used pts for airfares was that it varies and depends on the cost of the ticket. You'll need to call RCI for this info every time.

Nope. All Points acct. have a mid-level VEP quality 'factor'. So you will see every week that is = to or better than mid-level VEP. The only weeks you won't see with Points are the low VEP ones. You can sometimes call RCI and and ask for an 'override' of this rule. They want to 'protect' you from a disappointing exchange. Madge has commented on this a number of times.

See my post above. All Points accts. have a mid-level VEP factor. The VEP of the original resort doesn't matter.

can I deposit my non points week as a week or as a PFd ?
Once you open a Points acct. you can deposit (PFD) any non-points resort (except one I read about in TX) into your Points acct. A PFD is a 3 year commitment. Or, just keep your non-points resort in your 'Weeks' acct. Best of two worlds.

I have to give them three years of my weeks resort ? I though i could go year to year on that.

Do a search on Ask RCI, over yonder, and you'll find the answer.
[edited to add maybe it's a three year commitment to join points and then you decide yearly whether to deposit or not. If you don't get a definitive answer here ask on the Exchanging Forum OY]

PFD is not a 3 year committment. Choosing to to convert your original week to Points is a 3 year committment. However, if you have a fixed week, you can choose to actually use your week as opposed to taking the points. You have to do this within the 12-13 month period prior to your check-in date. PFD is optional on a year to year basis of any non-Points resort week.
