  • Last Call or Instant Exchange?

    Hi All,
    How does one go about in searching the last call or instant point exchange vacations for 9000 points? Is this a stand alone feature on the RCI website bec I can't seem to find it? The only searchable option is last call which is assigned a dollar value for the vacation. Please help, thank you..

    For the instant exchange, use your RCI Points account. Do a search by clicking on the "RCI Weeks Reservation". Under that, you can do a search, only from 10 days out from the current date. If you do your search for a 5 week period, you'll be searching 45 days out from the current day. All availability that is shown will be 9,000 points or less. The website is a little wonky as you'll actually need to selct the week that you want before it'll show you the reduced points requirement. Otherwise, some weeks will actually show what the "normal" point requirement is.

    Goofy, but that's RCI.

      Thank you very much djyamyam..... I tried using the instructions for fun but the reply was always "we did not find a match". Am I missing an important criteria or is there really nothing available for the next 5 weeks anywhere in the world?

        Highly unlikey and would make one suspect "user error".

        Try it again following the instructions and if it doesn't work, I've found a 13 yr old son can solve most computer problems. If a 13yr old son is not available any relative or friend will do.

            very strange.... I tried it again for Fl and Mexico with no luck... I wonder if the system timed me out and have to wait for a while?

              It still is not working..... I reviewed their A&Q section and revealed if you are a Canadian resident, you are unable to use the on-line or last call vacation search... If this is true for the points search as well, it would be very dissapointing.....

                No. It works for canadians too. I have done many on-line bookings through points.

                    If you are Canadian (as am I), you cannot do last call or extra vacations from your Points account. However, you can do instant exchange using the instructions from my earlier post.

                    If you want last call or extra vacations, you can only view those from the Weeks account. As a Points member, you have two accounts, your RCI Points account and the sister Weeks account that is linked to your Points account. You have to log into that Weeks account separately. This does not apply if you are American.

                        You guys have been great, thank you. It is still not working, I contacted RCI and they have no explanation either... They recommended I send email to rci@feedback for a solution. I hate to do that because it takes them for ever to get back to you....

                          Problem fixed, they indicated there was some of bug in their system and what ever they did yesterday solved the problem....
