  • Points searching Weeks problem

Is anyone else having problems today searching Weeks from a Points account?

I am getting some really weird results. I search for 1 week, and I get 10 resorts. If I search for 2 weeks with the same start date, I get 0 resorts. Go figure. The point values range from 99 - 770 (clearly incorrect). I tried to book one, but unfortunately when you click through the "correct" point value comes up. I also don't get any results searching past July.

I called RCI to report the problem. The Guide I spoke with new of no problem, and wasn't really interested in my report. She sure was interested in extending my membership though.

Anyone else having similar issues? I'm sure this is a result of their world-class maintenance last night. I just wonder how many more weeks of maintenance will be required to fix it.

    Update...

Looks like they've fixed it. I just tried the searches again, and the results appear to be correct.

I just wonder anyone has problem booking instant exchange for Inland California resorts for 7500 points. I couldn't do it and tried to call RCI. However, when I called, I was told that the unit was not available anymore. Please advise

Rats! I was hoping that maybe RCI was finally being fair by putting a firewall between Points and Weeks. RCI is cheating its Weeks members by allowing Points people to have access to all of our inventory while we do not have access to theirs. It needs to be either a two way street or no street at all. The absolutely fraudulent crossover grid numbers for Points members taking prime Weeks inventory makes it much worse. Maybe Weeks members of RCI need a class action lawsuit, or better yet a consumer protection lawsuit from a state AG, to pluck the Points leech off of the back of the Weeks system and end this parasitic relationship. That issue was in one of the two class action lawsuits against RCI as originally filed but apparently was not included in the new merged complaint after the lawsuits were consolidated.
