  • Svactionman Ebay Reseller Reputable????

On a lark, as I live in Massachusetts, I put a bid in fo a week (week 40-Columbus Day Weekend) for $1 at Cape Cod and won!!!!
    (+closing and transfer = $275.00)
Silver Crown CAPE COD Massachusetts RED WEEK Timeshare - (eBay item 320161293884 end time Oct-03-07 17:30:00 PDT)
Has anyone ever bought from this reseller????
The old adage "if its too good to be true, it probably is..." keeps rolling around my head. Any thoughts or feedback from all you long time
    TS4MSers????
    Thanks

We bought from them and they were fine. I just had to step on them to get the paperwork through. We were buying a unit in Mexico and they needed a push to have the transfer done in the time I wanted it to make an exchange.

Just be aware that Barnstable County is notoriously slow in processing deeds unless it is done by hand.

Good luck getting this deal closed anytime soon. I've bought two timeshares from these folks and both closings moved at a snails pace.

The most recent one, they agreed to move as quickly as possible. I faxed the paperwork. It took 2 weeks before they even got around to charging my credit card. Now the deed is in limbo "being prepared". These are forms where someone fills in the blanks, so "preparation" takes about 5 minutes or less.

As far as I know they haven't even mailed it to the county yet. However, they're quick to blame the county for the long closing time.

Unfortunately, the phone number they gave me goes to a fax machine and they no longer respond to my emails.

I would avoid svacationman and buy from one of the other frequent ebay sellers who seem to close more quickly.

I bought a unit from him last year around this time of year and it only took 4 wks to receive my deed. The time share was located in FL. so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but the communication was great!

Two different purchases with this seller. Both went very well.

I am currently working with this seller and so far I have received everything in a timely manner and they have answered all of my questions quickly. I will let you know how everything went after I do the closing which they said should only take about two more weeks. They also have a very high satisfaction rating on ebay so I'm not concerned.

I just saw one of their auctions on ebay. It is for a floating week at The Summit at Massanutten. In their ad, they claim that the resort is affiliated with both II and RCI which is absolutely not true. It is only a RCI resort.
Thus I would read every word very carefully.

                      Fishers, IN 46038

Timeshare Freedom conducts the closing. They are located:

I just did a look up of the area code 484...it's located in PA. although the fax number is in Indiana.

                        Double check EVERYTHING.....

                        ===============================================

This is a high volume PostCard Company. Not dishonest, but extremely busy at peddling and closing timeshare sales. They will get it done, but will do so in their own sweet time. That said, if you've purchased a fixed week 40 for actual usage, that time frame has now obviously already past for this year, so you have lots of time to complete the closing.

One suggestion I must make for the record here is that you must scrutinize the documents very carefully once you receive them. These high volume PostCard Companies have lots and lots of ads and many transactions and in-house closings. They routinely "cut and paste" material from one eBay ad over to another. Not infrequently, some of the "transferred" information becomes grossly inaccurate once placed in its' new setting. Critically important details like annual (vs. EOY) usage, fixed (vs. floating week) and whether or not current year maintenance fees have already been paid must be confirmed and then double and triple checked once you receive the contract documents. Make CERTAIN that what you are buying is EXACTLY what you THOUGHT you were buying. Inattention to detail now can become a long term problem later.

Good luck. Pay close attention, be patient but persisitent --- then enjoy!

Backed out based on false claim in ad

I never bought the week from seller noted in post 1 of this thread.
                          Seller claimed in ad something
to the effect that this red week was "best possible trader", which was a blatent lie. Thanks to advise from Lawren2, who happens to own there,
an October 1 bedroom on Cape Cod is considered by RCI to be more white or blue
by RCI, and I guess commonly referred as "pink". And I already own one of those dogs on Myrtle Beach!!! After several nasty
emails with threats of legal action and bannishment of me from eBay,
seller finally allowed me to cancel. After this experince, DW told me to forget about buying anymore timeshares and stop spending so much time on TS4MS!!!
Is there a 12 step program to help with TS4MS addiction????

                          " Hi....my name is Paul and I am a TS4MS addict...."

                          Have a good weekend, all!!!!
