Well I just got notification from the resort that the transfer has been completed and I will be receiving my ownership documents in 4-6 weeks but I am now listed as the owner in their computer system. This was one of the quickest and most efficient transaction I have ever made on a timeshare purchase. The only item needing correction was that Ebay ad said 2008 maintenance fees were due in January when in fact I knew they were due October 31st. Svactionman contacted me after I told them I would be subject to 25% late fee if maintenance was not paid on time. We agreed as did resort that Svactionman would pay the resort the 2008 maintenance fee and I would reimburse them which I did after resort Emailed me that the payment was made.

I would definitely feel very comfortable buying from them again. Just make sure you do your due diligence like any other purchase since these companies buy and sell so many weeks on Ebay that there are bound to be errors.

I have been trying to reach Svacation man for months. I left messages with no call back. I purchased a property (Fairfield Destination Vacation Club in Orlando, FL) in 2007. The ebay ad said there were no back maintenance fees owed and I would be responsible for the 2007 fees and those going forward. After 90 days, I called to see what the status was since two other Fairfield timeshares we purchased around the same time had just been completed. I could not reach Patel and Fairfield said they had not receive the paperwork. For the next six months, I called. Finally Fairfield (Wyndham) finally told me they had the paperwork but the account was in collections for 2005 & 2006 fees owed. I told them I would pay the back fees just to get the deal completed (I was still trying to reach Patel). The Wyndham collections person told me I had to talk with the owner, which was still Resorts Access Network (aka Svacationman). When I explained I could not reach them, Wyndham said they could not discuss it with me further despite the fact that they had the paperwork and I was willing to pay the arrears (although the ad clearly stated the title was free and clear). Today (after a year of trying to resolve this), the Wyndham rep told me there is nothing they can do and advised me to retain an attorney. Svacationman (Dharmesh S. Patel), in my mind, is a con-artist and I will never knowingly do business with him again.

          Svacationman missing

I have also tried to find him. I purchased 518,000 points at the Grand Desert from him in June 2008. This was an October 1-September 30 contract starting in October 2009. I was to be responsible for the fees effective October 2009. I checked with Wyndham and everything was up to date at the time of purchase. The contract didn't transfer until January of 2009. At that time I was informed that the fees hadn't been paid since August of 2008 and were back due. They wouldn't transfer the contract until I paid them. I contacted the Transfer Company (Timeshare Freedom) and was told I had to try and collect from Mr. Patel. All attempts to contact him were fruitless. I even checked current ebay sales and he isn't listed as a seller anymore. Thankfully I only lost a few hundred dollars.

I had a similar situation with him last fall. I did get an email address and telephone number form the closing company he used. His email is/was svacationman@yahoo.com. He did respond to the email the same day I sent it. I never got an answer using the telephone number.

There are some posts about him O/Y.

These people are nasty, incompetant, and dishonest. I purchased from vacationman and had to use this closing company. I purchased my week in December 06 (yes 2006) and it was a nightmare. They kept sending me recorded deeds that the resort would not recognize. I got 4 of them over time. When I stopped being nice and started complaining and mentioning posts on TUG, I got screamed at and they would not return my calls. I finally just gave up. Then last fall, out of the clear blue, another corrected deed arrived with a standard letter as if I had just purchased the week. To my surprise, the week was now registered in my name at the resort and I now owned late fees and past MF. At this stage I no longer wanted the week but got stuck dishing out almost two grand anyway. Honest people do not play these type of games or give buyers fraudulent deeds. How the county registered these deeds without checking to see who the previous owner was still puzzles me. Ands yes, Tammy knows how to scream and intimidate people. I will never buy if Timeshare Freedom is the closing company.

I was always of the distinct impression that Timeshare Freedom was a "PostCard Company" (i.e., not a closing company). Am I somehow mistaken? Are they actually both?

I had no problems and the week I bought from them closed in record time. I think I received all of my ownership documents in about 4 weeks.

So did I but the deed was no good and I did not find out until I called the resort to reserve my deeded wee.
