  • Businesses/brokers that buy, sell & rent points for TS Owner?

Would anyone know if there's such a thing as a business or independent broker who would handle buying, selling or renting points owned by a TS owner? If so, does anyone have any names and/or contact info?

    Hi Gwen,

What point system do you own? There are plenty out there.

      Hi Boca,

Wyndham points, some of which are with RCI. Is that what you want?

For Wyndham, go to RPMI. Ask for Angel England. She is a licensed agent that brokers Wyndhams.

To rent, you need to go to a Wyndham renter. You can find them on Ebay. Just do a search for Wyndham in Travel and email any of the auctioners. They rent points from owners.

Also, let me ask, do most TS owners rent, sell, buy points themselves rather than use a company to do it for them? Trying to find out the positive and negatives of doing both.

You can also use Wyndham's own rent agent - extraholidays.

RPMI is real estate firm that doing a lot of TS transactions.

Generally, if you go through some group, you will need to pay commision. And that usually is a greater % of what you got. Than you need to pay MF and extra cost. For example, I believe extra holidays ask for 40% or around and you will pay house clean fee if it is required.

A lot of time, if you use an agent or some internet site, they just could not deliever. But some good reputable agents do know how and where to find customers, and they have put money to advertise their availability which is RPMI doing. Similar to extraholidays.

That said, a lot of people do their own renting and selling. WIth internet, it allows you to find a mass customers around the world, so it becomes very easier. But to be good requires some try and error period. It sure allow them to cut the middleman (or woman).

You can join Wyndham Resorts Forums • Index page which has a lot of owner rent their points and/or buy one time use points there. Or I heard redweek also do that. Or try this site.

                    Hi Gwen

The Wyndham resort forum site Jya-Ning mentioned above worked well for me earlier this year. They have a section "I have points for rent" where you can post what you have for rent and there is also a section "I want your points".
I posted mine for rent and within 24hours had the transaction finalized.

Thanks for the info, Beach. I'm going to research extraholidays.com today. Also, someone told me about platinuminterchange.com. Anyone familiar with that site?

And, just so you all know, I'm new to the world of timeshares & points. The timeshares part isn't that difficult, but the points part sure is. Learning a little bit more each day, though.

                      Thanks again.
