When we sat through our high pressure-buy now Wyndham sales presentation they mentioned something about last minute bookings that were available for members- something about when booking within 3 months of the use date not requiring any points usage and costing a fixed fee of something around $200. What is the real story with this? Was it a part of their VIP package deal or is this something available to all members including resale buyers? I would appreciate if anyone can provide a clear explanation of this program, if it really exists.
We did end up buying into the Wyndham points program, just not through the developer. We made two purchases over EBay; the first 294K points at Myrtle Beach, and the second 182K points at Sapphire in the mountains of western NC. That's enough points for now until we verify that this ownership is what we think it is. With 476K points, we are OK for a start but it would be nice to stretch the membership benefits through the last minute booking program if it is real.
Can anyone explain how this really works?
Thanks,
Larry
