looking to sell Fairshare plus membership

I've been thinking about selling my Fairshare Plus membership lately, and I really have no idea where to begin (except to stay away from companies that ask for money upfront, a point which I learned from this forum).

Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?

I will certainly look at placing an ad on the site. How do I go about placing an ad? How many posts do I need to get a free ad, and how much does it cost, otherwise?

Also, I am not adverse to actually hiring a company to help me sell it, if that would help me sell it faster and for more moeny. Can you suggest some legitimate companies?

You are better off doing it yourself and listing it here , Redweek , Tug and if you are willing to take anything Ebay

Most resell company will not do too much better than yourselves.

This is not a great time to sell though, so don't expect to see anything in return.

You can also joint wyndham owner forum at Wyndham Resorts Forums • Index page and post your selling list there, it is free also.

If after few month you still has problem, I think there are people just doing buying and selling in that group, you will see them post in that site or mentioned in that site, so you may want to contact them.

You can list on eBay when all you want is to get rid of it. set a time like 2 weeks, start with $1 bit, and no reservation.

If you still has mortgage on it, you will not be able to sell though.

TS4MS Classifieds - Timeshare Forums. Go to listing for sell. You want to list the home resort, the total number of points. If possible, the maintainence fee, property tax (if it is FL propertry) and Special
Assessment. You may want to find some pictures from Wyndham site about that resort, and put into your ad. And a little bit description on that resort will be good, but both picture and description is not really need in this site.

Wyndham market...

It's a really tough time to be a Wyndham seller..

There is far too much competition from the postcard companies on eBay- so I haven't placed any Wyndham ads there in a long time.. RedWeek is still ok for rentals- but buy offers have really declined there over the past year and it seems to be becoming more of a niche site for rental activity. I have had some success with my ads on Timeshares Only as they target the tv market- but I generally advertise either really large point packages or the newer resorts (and pricing generally needs to be around 2 cents/point to get much interest). I haven't tried a Wyndham ad on this site, so if you are successful- please post a message and let everyone know!

Actually, you bring up an interesting point. Why not just rent the thing out? I wonder if it is better in the long run to hold on to it, pay my maintenance fees and rent my points to someone else.

Usage is the only way to get value from your timeshare...

Generally, if you don't have to sell- you shouldn't.. If you can learn how to use and enjoy your ownership, and possibly try to rent out some points you don't personally use- that is always your best option..

If you find you aren't using it or aren't able to rent it successfully- then sell..

We have close to a million points. We use many of them ourselves.
However, I find that the more vacations I take, and tell family and friends (along with photos), I generate a lot of interest! We now have 3 couples that annually check with me to reserve something, and more spinning off from them.

Great product. Use it, enjoy it, talk about it. That works too!
Selling is such a losing proposition... try to make the best of what you have.
Even renting the points to other members on Wyndhamforums, should cover your MF's.
