  • point ??

My paperwork when i bought my timeshare (a month ago) says my 3 bdrm Floriday property is worth 81k points. The grid on RCI says 74,500. What gives?

When searching in points, I've seen two seemingly identical units with different points costs. Perhaps one was a higher floor than the other or ocean front vs. ocean view.

At Divi Little Bay, #4219, I see this when searching for a standard reservation:

    1 Bedroom 4/4 Full 11/28/2009 12/05/2009 29,180
    1 Bedroom 4/4 Full 11/28/2009 12/05/2009 35,000

How could one be worth 20 percent more than the other? It's all about what was in the original contract of sale, I guess.

Can your original point value ever go down?

Yes. If you're resort resort rating changes, Gold to Silver, Silver to standard, I would expect to see a change in the points assigned for your week. Best to buy standard rated point resorts based on that, nowhere to go but up.
