Should I convert?

I bought this particular week several years ago. I now have the option of converting to RCI points. The conversion is $995.00. My week would convert to 58,000 points. The MF/taxes are $420.00.

I agree that it would be a decent RCI point conversion. However, I would check 2 things first before proceeding.

First, can you easily sell your week for over $2000. If the answer is "yes", then sell the week and buy some already converted points. If the answer is "no", then convert.

Second, can you buy another week at the same resort for less than $1500. If the answer is "yes", see if you can get a two for one conversion rate. If you can, buy the second week, convert both and sell one if you must.

I know I can convert as many weeks for one price. If I was able to purchase additional weeks for uner $1500 do you think I could resell them for a profit?

Definitely. That's what I would do. My guess is a converted unit will sell on eBay for about $2900.
