  • Fee for Last Minute Exchange

I know this is in here somewhere, but my searching skills are letting me down..

Anyway, with the RCI points, what is the exchange fee for the 45 day "last minute" weeks that are 7 - 9,000 points?

Is it the same as a "regular" 7 night points reservation ($139??), or is it less?

I thought I saw it as $40 at one time, but am not sure.

    Thanks!

It's more. It is the standard weeks reservation exchange fee because you are making a weeks reservation.

        more questions...

Thanks, one more quick question on the Last Minute Weeks:

Am I correct that these are only weeks from RCI Weeks (non-points) resorts?

So if a resort has points AND weeks, then this will not ever be available for these 9,000 and less last minute exchanges? You can only book those with "full value" points?

Also, if I am able to book less then a week at a points resort, is the nightly points amount just 1/7 of the week?

I understand that the partial weeks are not all that readily available, is that correct?

Weekend days are more points than weekdays. Partial weeks are not hard to find but some resorts only let you book 7 days or more. If there is a specific partial week you want you should try to book it 10 months out. Weekends go first when it comes to partial weeks.

Correct. An example is Sheraton Vistana in Orlando. It has both weeks and points, which are two separate pools of inventory. This means that units deposited on the weeks side can never be seen with points. Ergo, they''ll never appear for 9,000 points; in addition, there may be inventory available on the weeks side while a points search turns up empty.
