Vacation Paradise Rewards (I got offered this scam in HI)
    QUOTE]

First he says he was offered this in Hawaii now he says palm springs, so which is it. If you break down this persons blogs its easy to see the contradiction and lies he is spinning but this time he is caught in his own web. So is he a competitor trying to defame vpr or maybe an ex disgruntled employee....who knows.... but without verification of some facts he should not be allowed to use this site as a battleground. This product has been around since 1998 with over 200000 owners so even if these were 3 legitimate complaints, thats not bad. If the moderators and admin would like a demo on the software we would be glad to show you why its a great product well worth 6000 or more. Just call the number majidakai says nobody answers 7027629435 and talk with miss Marshal, and we will set a time convienent for you.

$6000 for a non-ownership Vacation Club? That's very steep. I doubt it is worth it.

I'd like to see some the prices people are getting. Post them on this thread and we can tell if they are any good.

If you wish to write a positive review of a business it is important to declare what interest you have in that business, otherwise it seems that you are trying to deceive the reader.

Resort Consulting Group charges less and they take your timeshare(s) as well. There is an annual charge just under $ 200 to continue accessing the software.
I wonder if it's the same software that is owned by one James Mason of Virginia.
Still way to much money for software that looks for the lowest rates available.

I am amazed that this is your reply after offering you a complete demo on the product that before such demo you say its steep...lol 20000 dollars for a one week timeshare with a 900 dollar maintenance fee is steep....

And no this is not the product from that guy in virginia, it sincerely is the best product on the market today. Please call for a demo so you can see all the various products besides travel that it allows you to purchase.

Vacation Priority Rewards - What they offer, and my experience

In response to this forum, let me explain my experience in whole.

At the presentation, they offered the package at $12K initially. The package was to include "vacation anywhere in the world at any time at seriously discounted rates". The presentation they showed was phenomenal. Their internet was down too while I was there purchasing, the entire 6 hours of waiting, presentation, and purchasing afterwards.

Many of their claims are misleading, I have come to find out. For example, I can travel to NY, but the only cities available for travel using the regular reward system are not major ones: Chautaugua, Ellcotville, Findley Lake, Lake George, and Lake Placid. No New York City or anywhere close. Places to stay are not available in 3 states, including Alaska. Previously Ireland wasn't available, but today I see there are two opportunities - both in Galway - and only for 10/31/2010 and 11/07/2010.

They don't tell you that unless you purchase just prior to going on vacation - which is a strictly limited selection and forces you to eat cost in airfare - you are required to book a 7 day stay at the place. The places themselves -do- have discount prices, but getting what you want when you want is either impossible (no Manhattan or NYC for me, let alone most of the east coast) or improbable (booked) unless you book a year or more in advance. And, as we've seen, sometimes those options aren't available anyways. I can't stay in Seattle, Portland, Denver, any major city in Montana, Dallas/Ft Worth, etc.

I had a difficult time getting ahold of anyone at the number for their office as well, but I believe that's because I talked once about cancelling with them, because up until that point, they were fine answering the phones. Afterwards, no one answered. Of course, in the contract it states that you have three days to cancel and it has to be certified mail, so I didn't pursue, but given the history that I have read up since then on both this company and their loan company, Universal, I am going to strictly watch what I am billed, and that my money is counted towards the bill and that I am not billed after I am paid off. Too many search results ending with dissatisfied customers...

Additionally, I was promised two two-person stays in Cancun for 3 days, 2 nights. Now, I didn't pursue this because frankly, getting a ticket to Cancun wasn't worth the expense of the 3 days 2 nights. However, the lack of delivery wasn't entirely pleasing, either, since it would have been fun to get another couple with us to go.

As many have complained, I didn't get access to the vacation site until four weeks after I purchased, and that was only with nagging. I have access now, but am grossly disappointed with the offerings. I am hoping things change in the future.

As for their additional benefits, they offer 'Marketplace Rewards' (which is just Restaurant.com without any added benefit), 'Travel Services' (which only shows condos, and not flights, car rentals etc on the website as you have to call the 888# (pain in this electronic girl's rear).

Other benefits, like 'Great Escapes' don't give you such a great deal. For Scottsdale, AZ, they list a 1b at Scottsdale Villa Mirage (a 3 star hotel) for $367.50 for 7 days (it might be 7 nights, it's difficult to tell). On getaroom.com, they offer it for $466. This kind of 'benefit' will take a large amount of time to make up for in regards to the 'purchase' price.

I was also told that any airfare price they would beat - even over Expedia or Priceline.com. This is not the case. I attempted to book a flight to Alaska and the price they quoted me for the same flight on Priceline.com was the same cost - Dec 17-Jan 2, leave at 6 p.m. arrive at 10 p.m. Priceline price: $676.10. VPR price: $676.10.

And finally, when I did discuss cancelling with them, not wishing a refund, they told me that I had to call Universal to cancel. I called Universal, and Universal said that the only people who could cancel are those in the office of Vacation Priority Rewards. The number that they gave me went directly to the owner's two-bedroom condo (I know, because I woke him up), which is the actual address of the place of business. (Not where business is conducted.) This means that even sending a certified letter, you have to rely upon the owner actually doing something about it, to which I have read many stories that in fact nothing was done to cancel.

Given the history of the owner, this company, my experience with promises broken, and his responses on this forum (I am not, thankyouverymuch, a competitor, and I highly doubt the others are, and downplaying concerns here like the poster is a lunatic only increases mine) make me have very little faith in my purchase. Added to it, after reading up and finding the different websites for the companies who VPR was previously, and finding that the websites are exactly like this one (really, you're not purchasing awesome software, you're purchasing vacation time under the limitations above), owned by the same man, etc..... Well. Anyhow.

'Phillip', from the view point of the whole Yelp thing, may be his own person, but I doubt it. Given Yelp's response (saying that his actions were not conducive with Yelp's policy), coupled with Philip being the only positive response on their log in website, and the only poster I've seen post positive things on the internet... along with the fact that Phillip posted less than 24 hours after the Yelp post... That makes me very suspicious, but then, he may very well be his own man.

Overall, my experience has been more than disappointing. It's my hope that others really read between the lines, ask the right questions, demand a live demonstration before purchasing, etc. to discover if this limited program fits their needs.

Regarding Tom Nixon, he was one of my selling people two. (There were four all around at different times, and his name isn't on my contract but he was the one who explained everything to me, talked me through things, put his card in my packet.... so I'm not certain who was officially the seller and who wasn't.)

                Pricing comparison coming

I just listed out all of the prices, taking time to take them from both Vacation Priority Rewards and comparitive websites, including resorts, and because it took so long, I had to log in again and lost my post. Working on it in Word, and will post asap.

                Gah. Frustrating.

Price Comparison - Vacation Priority Rewards

One of the things promised, btw, is that their price will outbeat anyone else's price. I chose relatively popular areas (or cities near there, since cities like Seattle were missing, and Miami Beach didn't have options for the category) for two categories they list.

I already anticipate this complaint coming in, so I'll state it here: I did not surf around for the lowest prices on the internet to make this company look bad. I looked for the first rental available on the site that I could 'rent' from over the internet (Google) and then compared their prices for the dates.

Regular Pricing: (7 nights each comparison)
                    1.Kahana Falls – Lahaina, Maui, HI – 1 bed – 12/9/2010
                    VPR: $939
Kahana Falls: $903 for separate condo, $693 for equivalent in hotel

                    2.Peacock Suites - Anaheim, CA – 1 bed – 12/26/2010
VPR: “As low as” $599 “Call for availability”
                    Shellhospitality.com: $378 (50% off every 3rd night)

                    3.Wyndham Ocean Walk - Daytona Beach, FL – 1 bed – (earliest is) 1/1/2011
                    VPR: $705
                    Wyndham Ocean Walk: $852

                    Short Notice Condos:
                    1.Wapato Point - Manson, WA – 1 bed – 12/12/2010 – 12/19/2010
                    VPR: $399
                    Wyndham-Vacations: $379

                    2.Streamside at Vail-Cedar - Vail, CO – 10/30/2010 to 11/6/2010 (for 6 people)
                    VPR: $732
                    Wyndham-vacations: $505

3.Ocean Keys Resort - Virginia Beach, VI
                    VPR: $349
                    Atrium Resort $709

The third category just lists cruises right now, and I'm not going to bother to research those.

Current ‘Red Hot Escapes’ listed, all expired on Oct 16th:
Russian River Cruise $1759 per person – includes flight to and from NYC, 11 nights tourist river class on MS Russ, 32 meals, itinerary tours

Discover Thailand $1309 Per Person, includes round trip from LA to Bangkok, 10 nights First Class, 11 meals, itinerary activities

Costa Rica Fly & Drive w/Guanacaste $719 per person, includes flight from Miami to San Jose, Liberia & back
1 nights, 7 day car rental, breakfast (Does not include: US & foreign government airport taxes and fees, security fees, etc etc.)

Eastern Caribbean & Cocoa Beach, FL $479 per person. Includes 7 day 7 night, no airfare, ocean cabin category G (port hole), Port charges $140, breakfast (International taxes not included)

Western Caribbean Cruises & Miami Beach $429 per person, Includes 6 day 5 night, no airfare, mini suite (Category AF) Port charges of $100, and does not include International taxes

Sounds like the other poster just posting from a different name and ip address.

TOO MANY SIMILARITIES AND MISSING INFO TO BE A REAL MEMBER, HOWEVER IF YOU ARE REALLY A CLIENT OF VACATION PRIORITY REWARDS, THEN PLEASE LEAVE YOUR NAME, NUMBER AND USER ID AND WE WILL HAVE CUSTOMER SUPPORT EDUCATE YOU ON HOW TO USE YOUR SOFTWARE OR NEGOTIATE A SETTLEMENT THAT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY. WE STRIVE TO PLEASE ALL OUR CLIENTS. FIRST OF ALL; when you use the restaurants, marketplace rewards, through our software you recieve an additional 50% off, and as far as the lowest airfare, in your example you said our office quoted the same lowest airfare but what you did not mention is that our office sends back an additional 5 to 10 percent of the price back to our software owners, which really does make our price lower than any other found. Same with cruises, we had a client check our price and the cruise lines best deal and they were the same except that our client was told that our office would send him an additional 241 dollars back after booking it through the software....so in simple math thats 241 less than any other deal out there.
When you mentioned the same thing that the other blogger said about our internet being down for 6 hours, its very SUSPICIOUS!!! AS PART OF OUR SALES PRESENTATION WE ALWAYS DEMONSTRATE LIVE IN REAL TIME HOW THE SOFTWARE WORKS AND LET THE PEOPLE CHOOSE THE VACATION LOCATION AND WE SHOW THEM OUR PRICES, AND THATS WHY THEY CHOOSE TO PURCHASE.....SIX HOURS??? OUR ENTIRE PRESENTATION AND DEMO TAKES BETWEEN 90 MINUTES AND 120 MINUTES....THATS IT! AND AS FAR AS OUR PHONES GO, WE HAVE THREE SECRETARIES THAT ANSWER THE SAME LINE EVERY DAY 8 HOURS A DAY, SO YOUR COMMENT THAT WE DODGE PEOPLE IS LUDACRIS! 7027629435....MON THROUGH SATURDAY PACIFIC TIME...call us.

WHAT YOU AND THE OTHER BLOGGERS FAIL TO IRONICALY MENTION IS WHAT THE MAIN REASON IS THAT APPROX 200000 CLIENTS HAVE PURCHASED OUR SOFTWARE. WE HAVE NEVER HAD A PRICE OF 12000 DOLLARS...8995 is our price today that gets you 4 weeks of timeshare use in resort condos FOREVER, wherever there is a timeshare resort, and when last I checked there were over 6000 locations worldwide. There is usually over 15000 weeks available everyday online through our software that our users can book in real time from their computor without having to call anyone for availability and no extra exchange fees to use any location. INVENTORY IS RELOADED EVERY TWO HOURS, In comparison to timeshare, most timeshare companies seLL just one weeks use for approx 25000 dollars with a maintenance fee of over 900 dollars every year whether you use it or dont! Then if when you call the exchange company they have an availabilty to where you want to go it cost you an extra 269 between the exchange fee and the yearly fee to belong to the exchange company....OUR SOFTWARE BYPASSES ALL OF THAT COST AND AGGREVATION. SO 4 WEEKS FOR 8995 OR 1 WEEK FOR 25000 PLUS MAINTENANCE PLUS EXCHANGE FEES PLUS, PLUS, PLUS!!!!
                      HERE ARE A FEW WEEKS OF RESORT INVENTORY AVAILABLE THROUGH OUR SITE;

Wow, what a boatload of last minute crap ! $ 8,995 for software to get this- you have got to be kidding- I wouldn't pay $ 8.95 for it. Do the salesmen wear masks while selling ?

Come on, Tony. Get real. You know that's not true. Why would they need to wear masks when they've already had both olfactory nerves and consciences removed as part of the pre-employment physical?
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

Thanks for having established this helpful service. I am still learning. Wish I had known more about maintenance fees and other features of the MVCI program before becoming a member years ago. Now we are trying to recover much of our investment. Isn't the resale market so lousy now that we won't be able to recover? How do you see it, please? Thanks. Joe

I attended the VPR Presentation 10-20-10

Yes, I have to say thank you for this information. I wish I was able to read it all earlier, but I am lucky- I opted OUT after hearing. There were several things that just rubbed me the wrong way while I was there, that cause me to back pedal my way out of there.

First off, their hired goons, strong arm you off the street and then do UNSCRUPULOUS deeds to pre-qualify you- and I mean whatEVER it takes. We were reeled in by the 'Rent a fast car' place in the shops on the strip. They promised us a 90 min presentation where we'd pick up tickets to 'the V show' and $100 restaurant voucher to Pompas, a really nice Brazillian steakhouse, and $200 to gamble at Planet Hollywood. This all sounds great right? For just a quick 90min presentation... Sure... We come back at our scheduled time and end up waiting around for a driver to take us to the Alexis Park Hotel. We get there and everyone is nice and smiling... But I am already feeling something is up with this place.

We get to know the people that work there, they all seem really nice, not sure if any of it was real or not, or just a lot of talk. Then the presentation... Which was a slide show off a computer of all the GREAT deals you can get.

THERE WAS NEVER A LIVE INTERNET PART... Just slide, after slide after slide for the first HOUR... It all seemed really good, yada yada. But the more they pushed for a SALE TODAY, the more I went with my gut. I never buy things without thinking it over.

The price started at $12K, and ended up at $6K. When that was still a bit much, they went to $5 and threw in a few more weeks. We had all the paper work filled out and they were urging me to go to the ATM to withdraw funds...
then I really started to feel uneasy. Why do I have to close this deal SO fast? I asked about the tickets I was promised, and they instantly said, no, there were no V show tickets. I asked about pompas, they said no, none of that either. They said they could get me tickets to a magic show at the Alexis Park, and dinner there. That was pretty disappointing. The 90m turned into 3 plus hours of sales and pushing... they sort of made me feel like an idiot for wanting to think about it... saying- "...either you're in or you're out! Flip a coin! I don't know what to think about you two, this is a no-brainer!"

Thank goodness my 'nonworking' brain, was ON, and told me to get OUT of there!

Since coming home, I was interested to see if I HAD indeed made a mistake... I found this timeshare website... and also looked up THEIR website... VacationPriorityRewards.com

This is some template they have used, and plugged in their info in 'fill in the blank' format. I have worked in web design, so I know this right off the bat. The content is FUDGED at best... thrown together from 'content adding' blogs... designed to fill a webpage... if you have a look, you can see there is no real substance like any legitimate site I have ever visited. THIS IS RUBBISH! BEWARE... GO EXPLORE THEIR WEBSITE AND YOU WILL SOON SEE!!!
