DIVI Village Golf and Beach Resort

We are looking at purchasing at DIVI Village Golf and Beach Resort in the older part. Has anyone have any reviews or comments about this resort. We are looking at buying a 1BR unit week 35. I get different stories from different people. Some say week 35 would be platinum with DIVI club so you can trade for other DIVI resorts during prime time(winter). Does anyone know if this is true. How are the other DIVI resorts in the Caribbean?
