  • FF Nashville room assignments

I have been following the OLCC thread, and all the talk about room assignments got me to wondering about our trip to Nashville next month.

I checked the confirmation, and we are assigned a 2bedroom, no room #. It is an internal exchange because we own FF Branson. Is there anything we should do to get a good room? Anyone know any rooms to avoid? We are checking in on a Sunday, does that affect where we will be placed?

I really need to start planning this trip, I didn't realize how close it is getting until this morning. Anyone know if they have grills, and what kind? How close is the nearest grocery store?

Anyone want to plan the whole thing and give me an itinerary, cuz i can't get motivated?

    Thanks, Tanya

Edited to add: The confirmation says it is occ 8/6

I think Fern has been there. My knowledge of the area is limited tho I was there for the birth of a grandchild at Vanderbilt's hospital. You might get some good advice from FF owners, perhaps they will tell you when to call ahead with any specific location request. In my experience, owners get better attention on specific requests, but I think affiliate owners would also get more attention.

My wife's sister if Manager Of Operations at the Grand Ole Opry, or MOOGOO , so all the girls in their family go the Fairfield Nashville for a week in the summer.

I called the general manager a couple years ago to get a unit on the ground floor and near a pool, a concession to the oldest and youngest girls.

He was really nice and it was no problem.

Jenny says Fairfield Nashville is not as nicely furnished as Fairfield Branson. She says they just have charcoal BBQs, nothing fancy, and there is not a grocery store convenient at the exit. They went to one quite a ways on the other side of the exit.

Since you mentioned BBQ, we just had smoke ribs and sweet corn for dinner.

      Yummy.

Its been perhaps five or six years since we were there. The grocery store was ten or fifteen minute's drive away (front desk told us where it was). It was large, but not convenient. I don't remember a mini-mart, 7-11, or any such closer.

The resort was continually building when we were there. If your 1bdrm is a 6/6 rather than a 6/8, it is in the oldest section and does *not* have an elevator. The 6/6 units are the only ones, to my knowledge, which do not. They are not lockouts (the others are), but they *are* close to the pool and the front of the resort.

          Fern,
We have a 2BR 8/6. I am thinking that is a 2br deluxe, but I am not sure. From your post, that should be good news. Since it is only about a 9 hour drive from us, I think I will plan on bringing our groceries in a cooler. I don't want to try to find a store that is not convenient.

          Jim,
The BBQ sounds wonderful, but we had Japenese instead. Stir fry filet mignon and sushi mmm, mmm good.

I wonder if your sister-in-law (the moogoo herself) knows who will be in GOO's Star Spangled Tribute on July 1st. It doesn't list any artists. I am going to call next week and see if I can get more info.

          Tony,
I am asking on FF Yahoo group as well, great idea!

          Thanks to everyone,

          Tanya
