Confused about DVC trades...

Lately I am only able to see occasional trades into DVC when I log in with my week. But, I had an on-going search I put in last week for a 1BR at OKW that matched today with Easter Week!?! So...what gives? Why can't I see "lesser" 1BRs when I search but then it matches with the highest DVC point week? Is it a glitch? Last year I saw 2BR DVCs on a daily basis before the May change, but it makes me wonder if I still have the trade power but just can't "see" it when I search?

ETA: By the way, I am not complaining about the trade, but want to know for the future what I should be doing differently.

Every once in a blue moon, the DVC deposits get assigned a slightly lower trade power. For example, in fall '09 I grabbed a 2BR at VWL for this July with a deposit that rarely saw 2BRs anywhere, at any season. I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to it.

Some days, it's better to be lucky than good, I suppose.

Someone on TUG reported a similar happenstance---a deposit that rarely sees DVC units matched a 1BR OKW in April. I did see some evidence of what appeared to be a deposit, but it seemed a smallish one.

Instead, perhaps it was a deposit with lowered trade power requirements that got snapped up by a backlog of ongoing requests. It will be interesting to see whether this repeats itself with the next deposit cycle.
