There have been some unbelievable Ex Ops lately -- Harbor Ridge, Monarch at Sea Pines, Bermuda, SoCal - to name a few. All prime summer! And I can't take advantage because of scheduling conflicts at home, or vacations already planned (hard to really complain about those).

If this keeps up, I'm going to grab something and figure it out somehow.

Yes it does. some of the places I see posted makes my mouth water and why I booked the other place I am going, Then I start to think should I cancel my trip and book here? Any way I start to think I better not cause half of what is posted I do not see.

My last far in advance reservation is in November, 2011. 2012 will be the year of the last minute vacations for us and if it works, we will never look back!

There are more opps due to recession

I believe the last minute opps are so fantastic due to the recession. In years past there was more use of the top timeshares by owners, but now they opt to deposit them and wait till next year to travel. Also some owners may have wanted to rent their units and found the rental market such as ebay completely dead, so they toss them into the exchange market at the 60 day mark. Last minute opps in II are truly the best secret in timeshares this year.
