It's hard to get a straight answer from II on what the trip cancelation actually covers in terms of costs. When I called II the rep I had to invoke my dental degree as it was like pulling teeth to get a straight answer. The rep was evasive and vague to the point where I still don't know. I was led to believe that it only covered the exchange fees and not maintenance/taxes. When you go online and do your own research you come up with a mixed bag also. I need to decide soon so that the pre-existing conditions don’t apply but if it only covers the exchange fee I might as well take my chances since the insurance is about half that cost.
