  • Full time timesharing

    Hello everyone,

Just to let you know that I have updated my BLOG as of last week and have included a lot of links to pictures of resorts. Seems to take a long time....

For those of you that do not know, we sold our house in Ohio in May of 2008 and have been "on the road" ever since...

    Here's the link,

It certainly is a very interesting lifestyle change although not sure if I could get used to it fulltime.
Typically Canadians are buying cheap property in the States, I personally know at least 15 couples who now own houses in Florida and Arizona.
Me and my wife are in our mid fifties and live in Canada, and are into Timesharing so our plans, once we retire, are to do the Snowbird thing but using timeshares as an avenue to spending Canadian winters in a warmer climate so that would mean probably 3+ months January to April.
I read your piece on Hawaii, and I see you were at the Hawaiian Kona Resort. My wife and I went last year and it's without doubt our favourite resort so far.
Anyway I hope you continue your lifes adventure.

Was Ray @ TUG your inspiration for this journey?

Several years ago, a tugger and his wife did just as you and your wife are doing -- used timeshare exchanges to live in for a few years. And I am wondering if that is where you got the idea to do the same.
        hope this info helps,

Thanks for sharing your blog. I found it very interesting. I sometimes wondered if full time timesharing could work. It sounds like you do a lot of bouncing around and flying back and forth. It might tire out the average person. It doesn't sound like you are the average person!

I also was interested in your posts about Springfield, IL. I am from the area and went to high school in Petersburg. I hope you have had a chance to take in the Lincoln Museum in Springfield. It is quite astounding!

            Wow Joan,

You're still at it? I admire you.

I think this is something I'd like to do one day. Maybe not all year round but maybe 1 month each season or some combination equaling 4 months a year. I'm already up to about once a month for a week so I'm working on it.

Yes, it was Ray Harper we read about a few years ago and got the idea. However, then I found out he had a condo in CT to go to....hmmmm....that would make it a little easier!

Yes, our son is a professor in Chemistry at the U of Illinois there. And yes, that Lincoln Museum is the BEST museum we have ever been in! Thanks for mentioning it, hope others can go!
