We are members of Travel Advantage Network. We booked a vacation week at what seems to be a great place - the very pretty lakeside “Inn at Deep Creek” in Western Maryland, Garrett County Chamber of Commerce - Home, for the 4th of July holiday week (7/2-7/9). We have never been there before but have heard wonderful things about it.
Most unexpectedly, a family wedding has been scheduled for exactly that time, and it’s abroad. We’ve asked TAN to please switch or accommodate us – nothing doing, as we didn’t purchase travel insurance and we are locked in. We can however switch the week with someone else. TAN refused to put us in touch with other members who might be willing to switch for the same place during a different week. So we are thinking out of the box, and would consider any other place in any other timeshare program, for an even exchange.
If you have a week from a timeshare, perhaps you might consider switching with us. Or if you have a similar suggestion, that would be appreciated.

It should be within a 6 hour drive of NYC, since we don’t want to fly.
It should have some summer activities nearby – swimming, biking, town, nature, etc.
It could be any week in July or August but that one.
The place that we are offering sleeps up to six people. We need a place for four. We picked the place early and got the best room in the inn, but it seemed that we picked too early, since we didn’t anticipate this scheduling conflict.

Amenities:
This studio unit is located on the second floor (no elevator, approximately 15 steps) and may sleep up to but not exceed 6 people. Newly renovated with charming décor includes two queen size beds, full size sleeper sofa, and two lounge chairs. This room includes a flat screen TV, iPod docking station and free WIFI, an efficiency kitchen with convection microwave, refrigerator, sink, dinnerware, glassware, silverware and a fireplace. This room is heated and has air conditioning, available for year round use.
