  • Newbie that needs advice on exchanging

    Hi all

I am currently a timeshare owner in the UK, i am unable to use the time share in 2012 so thought that exchange would be an option rather that loose it.

My parents currently exchange a timeshare they have with RCI but i have no idea how it works and that is after speaking to RCI!

Can anyone offer advice or point me in the direction of a good exchange company in the UK please

    Many thanks in advance.

I think Carolinian will be along to help you soon, in the meantime look up SFX exchanges on google as well as Platinum Interchange.

II (Interval International) will likely do you more good in England than RCI.

Best of luck with you exchange.

All exchange companies are strong in different destinations. Where do you want to go? That, more than anything, will dictate which exchange company you should consider using.

          It's pretty simple.

If you give them something good, they rent it, and give you something less in return.

If you give them something bad, they give it to someone who gave them something good, that they rented, and give you something worse.

We've done more than 120 exchanges over more than 20 years, mostly before they went to this current business model.

Well at least we have uncovered the source of the recent downturn in timeshare values.

Try The Holiday Property Owners' Club - Dial An Exchange , SFX Preferred Resorts - Quality Timeshare Exchange Services , or UK Resort Exchange - Holiday Accommodation & Timeshare Exchange

The RCI system is convoluted and confusing and not really a good system for exchanging one timeshare week on a one-off or sporatic basis.

DAE and SFX have no membership fee, so that will save you some money from the start, and their exchange fees are also lower.

                Thanks for your responses everyone.

We are just looking to exchange within the UK at the moment.

After looking at the info you gave me DAE looks the better option as they have a UK based office.

Interval International have a dreadful website could not find any info on how the system works..... unless i am being a bit thick!

                Thanks for your help all

SFX is also very good for the UK. The owner of SFX is from the UK.
