DVC resorts through independant exchange

Can anyone tell me if the private exchange companies every get any DVC stuff? I am considering depositing a week with one of them in hopes of getting my AKV for 2013/2014.

I believe I've heard of at least one person obtaining HHI through SFX. I would expect that they are relatively rare now that DVC Member Services has changed policies to *only* speak with the Member for any reserved week, *never* the Member's guest. That makes things very inconvenient for any Member trying to use an independent. You might want to ask the Ask SFX forum to see what they think.

In other words, I would have a backup plan. If you have anything that can generate enough credits/points in RCI, you'd have a much better chance.

This is available to you thru the BG/RCI portal. I do not believe we can put in an ongoing search but you can start checking every day once u r within your timeframe.
I believe bnoble has stated the current exchange window is at 7 months.
look at the DVC RCI sightings posted monthly by bnoble for the historic deposits.
I would not count on an independent getting such a specific request (versus accepting ANY DVC within a time frame)

Thanks for the quick response guys! It was more helpful in determining whether or not to bank a week with them. Pointless if that is one of the things I am looking for right now. No point in depositing just for the purpose of exchanging. Would like it to be beneficial to both myself, the exchange company and another individual.

If you have BlueGreen, RCI would be the way to go.

I do not believe we can put in an ongoing search

With the Wyndham portal, you can place an ongoing search, but you must call to do so. It is possible that BG's works similarly.

Good to know, I have not had the need to do so but will call in the near future to find out.
And now that the TPUs are creeping up, BG/RCI is getting to be a better option with the fixed cross over grid.
