  • Floating Week TS exchange to point?

I have a floating week at Carlsbad Seapoint Resort, Carlsbad, CA. Ready to retire and take advantage of it. Is there any way I can exchange this into a points system like interval International or something like it?

    Thanks for your advice.

We toured there when it first opened, when we were staying at Carlsbad Inn.

I'm not sure if you meant to use the term exchange or if you mean you wish to change ownership to a points system.

For the first, if you do not presently own points and are not a Points subscriber, I don't know of any way to exchange into points.

For the second, unless your resort offers conversion to points ownership, I don't know of a way to do that. Carlsbad Seapointe is an RCI Points resort, so my guess is if you've got the right amount of money, GPP will convert you.

I've only been doing this 20-some years, and only through Weeks, so I'm sure someone will be along shortly who knows a whole lot more than me.

contact Owner Services at your resort and ask about the price to convert to RCI Points.

It can vary from almost free to thousands of $ - depending on your HOA's desires.

I have one resort where they want $699 to convert to RCI Points - to rich for a lousy 26K points IMO - so I just deposit it with Platinum every year and I get three weeks for it, yipee.
