Need advice - unused (booked Dec 2011) week at Pointe at Poipu

New to the forum and need advice. I have a booked week (spanning Xmas 2011) at the Pointe. What are my options for this unused week?
Ideal is to bank the week and exchange for Pacific Coast location (Avila Beach or Oregon).
Alternatively is rent, but how to price and risk of it not selling.
We are not currently members of any trading companies currently, so account setup time is a factor.
SFX is current choice - They will take it so close to the travel and they have platinum trial special now.
II says 3-6 weeks (not sure why) for account, which is too long.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Note: Similar situation to person with SF Powell TS.

You could test a rental on craigslist right now, while you are waiting to decide.

Update: Signed up with SFX early last week and got a promo trial period Platinum membership + $100 Vacation Cash. Wednesday, before Turkey-Day, wrote to Poipu VIP with instructions to deposit the week to SFX, they responded right away. After the holiday weekend, I have confirmation of the deposit for exchange. Both the SFX and Poipu agents were very helpful.
For something that we would have lost, we are happy that we could get any exchange. Their extras for Poipu and Late Deposit topped it off: $500 more Vacation Cash + 3 other Promo bonus weeks ($0, $399 and $499). Now to search for where we want to go.
