checked in sunday and one problem after another.
I called right away t tell them the phones were not working and no internet connection.
We are on the 13th floor, the fire alarm went off and a voice came over the speaker int he hallway to evacuate the building. i tried calling the front desk but they never picked up as they failed to do many times over the next couple of days. 13 flights is a long way to go for a false alarm!
In my room besides no phone and internet, we had an exceptionally loud refrigerator, a broken dish sitting on top of the other dishes, a towel that was obviously a cleaning rag left on our towel rack, and no book with any numbers to call or procedures.
We called about 8 times about the phone and internet, and were given several conflicting responses. About 11:30 ont he second night, a repairman came to the room and said he couldn't fix the phone and they would move us. at ten the next morning cleaning staff knocked on our door to see what we were still doing int he room. Finally got a new room assignment and packed up only to find out the new keys didn't work. AFter many trips back and forth, Got settled around 12 o'clock.
the rooms are quite lovely, especially if everything works.
the grounds are lovely, lots of pools, and play areas for children.
got ont he internet and can't evsen work my way through so many emails that have accumulated in my inbox. hoping the next few dys will erase the negative feelings of the first couple of days.

Oh boy. Sorry to hear about all the mishaps, especially since I've only heard good things about BC. Hopefully nothing further will go wrong, and you'll enjoy your stay for the remainder of your vacation. Have fun!.....I hope!

Ouch.. Sorry you've had a tough time..

I've stayed at Bonnet many times and have rented it hundreds of times to others and I've only had one person who had anything negative to say. She was upset that there was an issue with a couch, and Wyndham had told them they were waiting for a replacement to arrive and had no other units to give them (they were in a Presidential villa).

Other than that, it's all been smiles and happy customers!

I hope you have a great time for the rest of your stay...

yes, the couch and chair have fabric worn off of them, and are waiting for replacements. this unit's are not is in bad of shape as the other unit. It sure doesn't look nice to walk in and see that.
i could have done without the phone, but the internet service is tethered to the phone and it appears the line was not working.
It is very windy and cool today, so we haven't done much. too cool for the pool for us SW Floridians. We have a better view from this room and the room is sunnier too, so we should have a good time.
we are wondering weather to take the shuttles or not, I don't like driving around Disney, esp at night when i don't know where I am going.

Grab the shuttle schedule from the concierge. There normally is a reduction in shuttle service in the evenings. If the shuttle meets your needs, use it! The Disney parking fees continue to increase and the shuttle can be a big savings over a week.

Besides, you'll meet other timeshare owners on the shuttle and can show them the way to the TS4M's!

I believe every pool is heated, so the water should be nice and warm.. Just be sure to bring a big fuzzy towel for when you get out!

I just checked out on Thurs from BC. We also had a fire alarm that morning. I WAS on the 4th floor and had to walk down stairs which really is hard for me to do. I overheard a salesman say that was the 4th time this month!!! It took a long time for the firetruck to get here, they don't use the Disney fire station doesn't service BC even if they are only a couple of miles away.

Our room was immaculate, and I had no other complaints other than the fire alarm. They put me in the main bldg (registration bldg) on the 4th floor as I told them I needed to be near the pools & activities. They cheerfully complied.

Even tho I didn't have a "pleasure" trip, it was a family thing, the weather was gorgeous , almost 90, so hope it warms up for you and you have many wonderful adventures.

More of the traditional DVC renters are choosing Bonnet and saving more than a thousand dollars. The Mouse is probably hoping it will catch fire!

This is because, despite appearances, the Bonnet Creek property is not part of the Reedy Creek Improvement District, or RCID---Disney's own private government. RCID was created courtesy of the Florida Legislature, which rubber-stamped legislation drafted by the Mouse's own lawyers with practically no review. Gotta love Florida politics!

we went to the Presidential unit to see the fireworks tonight. the unit is unbelievable and loved watching the fireworks from the patio.
today we walked all around the lake and saw so many nice areas with pools, playgrounds, mini golf, etc. wish my grandson was along. whenwe arrived i wanted to go to some of the activiites, but had no idea where they were. it is good to get oriented.

Ugggh Pat. Sorry to hear about all the problems with your unit.
Hopefully it will get better. I've yet to have any problems at Bonnet Creek and have stayed 3 times already. Wish I had known you were here this weekend as I am staying in Parc Soleil. Leaving in the morning.

I was able to get a one day extension here at Parc Soleil. I gotta say that the management here is superb. Really a class act here at Parc soleil. And the weather was so wonderful that I even got in the pool a couple of times which I usually never do this time of year seeing that I'm almost a native Floridian and don't do winter pool. Just couldn't resist staying another night.

I'm definitely coming back to Parc Soleil when I get a chance. It's almost as nice as Bonnet Creek but much less crowded. The parking garages make a world of difference here at Parc Soleil since you park in your building. Much better design than at Bonnet Creek and I-Drive Tuscany. And the location here is great too. I'm not sure why people don't like this location. It's very convenient to 535 and Downtown Disney area.

I don't like coming into WDW from Apopka if I'm going to the parks, but I gotta say, Parc Soliel was tempting me and a while back I was puzzled by how easy it was to get into. Although checking today, looks like the word may be out. Good to hear it's as nice as it looks on the 'net.

Yeah, it's really, really nice. I was pleasantly surprised. And unfortunately it looks like the word is definitely getting out cause there wasn't a room available at all and according to the front desk they were completely sold out today and it's only a Wednesday.

Maybe I should be posting how bad the place is instead.

Glad to see yur havin a great time, or grate time.

I had one of my best Orlando visits ever last Wednesday.

3 hour drive to drop DW off at the airport at 5 AM.

Drove in the dark and fog, trying to read googlemap directions and street signs, missed a couple, to the golf course.

One hour nap in golf course parking lot. Woke up hearing the Pro tell the cart guy, "I guess he wants to tee off in the dark and fog."

                            Me, "Can I?"

Had breakfast. Hot dog at the turn. Lunch. Second 18. All day sodas.

                            $46.

Drove to the airport in the evening light. Most of the route was Hispanic neighborhoods.

Watched planes take off and land for 2 hours.

Picked up DW. Plane gated at wrong terminal. Drove 3 hours home.

too bad it was last week, Ron could have met you and not died of boredom here and at the Disney parks.
