While looking through the RCI website, because it won't allow me to sign in...I noticed this list

I had planned to stay last February at the Melia Gran Cancun...it was going to be closed until April..it's still not open!

wow, that is surprising! I have always liked it there, though we've never stayed. Maybe there's a big management difference b/t Melia and the Royals that accounts for the Royals being open and Melia delayed? I can't imagine that the damage factor was much different, though maybe the Melia is older? Of course I get an error message when I access the RCI link...
