  • What should my "NOTICE OF CANCELATION LETTER" state?

My husband and I bought a timeshare with Silverleaf last Friday and we have been advised to cancel immediately. We have 6 days (from the date of our contract July 13) to cancel so I am preparing our "Notice of Cancelation" now.

    My question is:
1.) Should I send a copy of our contract with our notice of cancelation?
2.) What should the "Notice of Cancelation" letter state?

    Thanks so much!!!

All you need to say is "We are exercising our right to cancel." You don't need to give a reason--and any reason you might give is just an excuse for them to contact you again and try to change your minds.

Thank you! Do I need to send a copy of our contract as well?

You should not need to, but can't hurt. Just be sure to send it to the address specified in your contract and clearly reference the property and your ownership. I just got back from a Silverleaf resort, they don't even have Wifi in the units!!!
