I just tried for 40 minutes to log on to their wonderful new and improved site....I get nothing but errors, or don't budge from the page, or get in and then told "timed out".....their Tech Team is positively baffling!

That's odd, because I got one with no trouble around the same time. What browser are you using? You might want to check out the related thread OY on the Ask RCI board, there were some folks having trouble getting on with AOL even after I was able to finally get on with Firefox.

Edited to add: Forget everything I just said. I can now get in, but I can't look at the EV's, the page loads empty. And it's taking a real long time. I guess they are still fixing all the problems with their 'improvement.' I guess RCI wants me to get some sleep...

Thanks, Avery, I have tried all I can think of....using IE instead of AOL, clearing the cookies, clearing cache, I just don't get further than into the account, once I tried to do a search I am told I timed out....still happening, just checked. I will check out the discussion at Ask RCI, but I think RCI should not be having this type of problem even if one uses AOL, it is just plain unbelievable to me. Sorry, end of rant.

It is very frustrating. I think they have been using these 'wee hours' to work on their new problems, I couldn't get on Friday night either, even though they'd already the firewall/Firefox issue.

Now the message below pops up, I've seen it before. So even though the dates are clearly wrong, it looks like they are taking the site for an hour around 12:30 am EST to work on it...

I guess someone at RCI woke up and threw the throttle....it seems to be doing searches without kicking me off...thanks for your help Avery.

Earlier this week, I went to check to see if the domain name is available and it isn't. But, there isn't a website available yet.

I checked again today and the following are available: www.rcireallysucks.com, www.rcistinks.com

RCI may have bought the rights to it already or maybe one of our own members owns the name. There's a domain ad at the bottom of the page where you could see if that site name is available.

Yes, Carolinian, I believe you are right...forgive my pure negativity of the moment, proactive would be better for all concerned....if only RCI were proactive in favor of developing true customer service, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, customer appreciation.....ah, but I am dreaming....this is the age of corporate greed, corporate abuse, and complacency.

But the "wee hours" here, are not the wee hours on the other side of the globe...does that mean those members are also having trouble with the site or does it mean they can randomly by geographic location make their site unusable?

If after several years of an ASK RCI forum has brought only more misery rather than improved service and standards, how is any proactive site ever going to make a dent in their greedy mindset? Seems to me I just read somewhere how someone just got another confirmed week taken away from them (after they used their prime Hawaii week to get that choice exchange).

Seems to me, rcistinks.com is another perfect name!
