I own 1 wk (high red) at Bluegreen Resorts, The Fountains in Florida. I have owned this for a number of years but have never used it because I found the process too confusing. My head is in the right place now to try to tackle this issues. I did have an RCI membership but this has expired.
I believe I need to either rejoin RCI or another exchange company to be able to do an exchange, is this correct? If this is the case, in your opinion which company is he best.
I want to go to Canada next year but BG resorts do not have properties there.
Thanks for your responses in advance.

DAE has inventory in Canada, and its membership is free, and exchange fee lower.

What unit type and week do you own.
I can check for you how many Trade Power Units (TPU's) RCI will give you and then you can see if it's worth your while.
Where do you want to go in Canada and when? I can check that for you too before you pay to rejoin RCI.

Dianah .....I think what chriskre is suggesting is your best bet. First see what RCI can do for you, and then make your decision. I don't know if II is an option for you, but they have had large deposits of Canadian weeks, lately...Depending on where you want to visit, of course. Good luck!

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

With only one week to exchange, using an exchange company with an annual membership fee ups the cost over those which do not. It might be good to join multliple exchange companies with free membership like:

I believe OY you mentioned you were interested in Vancouver. Which month are you looking to go? I believe there are only 2-3 TS in Vancouver. Would you be willing to stay in Whistler? Different exchange co have different specialties and some may be better than others to get you where you want to go.

Your first step would be to find out exactly what you own with BG points or a fixed week. Do you pay a program fee to BlueGreen along with your MF's?

              Hi and Welcome to TS4Ms....

I think Carolinian has the correct approach. Since you are not planning on exchanging every year, why pay a company membership fee?
I checked II and did not see the Fountains listed....

For Orlando, the weeks of highest demand are week 5-30, 51,52 with the highest being 13,14 (Easter) If your week is a float, be sure to reserve in that time frame - the higher the demand, the better trade value your week will have.

I own a deeded week 31 with bluegreen resorts, the fountains, Florida. I have been told I need to become a traveller plus member in order to exchange through RCI, is this correct? I want a 2 week holiday in Vancouver, Canada next year but at a different time of yr than my deeded week. What steps do I need to take in order for this to happen. Thank u in advance.
Sounds like a non-BG Points week....
