I know what you mean about dangling carrots. We will be starting on June 26th landing in England for a little over 1 month for 2 weeks in Kent then 2 weeks in Bournemouth in timeshares, followed by flying from Heathrow to Munich and heading to Austria and Bavaria to stay at our favorite hotels for over 1 month. They can keep the timeshares there, as I have my "heaven" spots that are in certain little towns and at certain hotels. Then heading back to the USA for a few days towards the last week in August to see our grown working kids {no grandchildren}, then to Newport, R.I. for our annual 2 weeks there. Mid Sept. heading back to Europe. For us the carrot is always there. On May 15th we are heading to London. Life is grand! As of today we have logged over 56,000 air miles since January 1st. UAL loves us!

How seasonal is seasonal? I could work a few days a year. They can pick the days, just give me a 6 month notice so I can plan for it. I'll even let them pick the days and be their new BFF. Any crappy job will do.

I actually applied for an accounting position with Cape Air in Hyannis. They partner with American. Naturally I am way overqualified for the position (it is entry level) but I figured what the heck all they can do is ignore my resume.

My SIL is an American Airlines flight attendant, and she doesn't get her month's assignment until 2 weeks prior to the start of the month. They bid on schedules, and if she absolutely needs a day off she bids a lot of schedules that don't include the day(s) she needs.
