There is a link on the Bluegreen forum that has the grid.it is the same for weeks and points.

I couldn't find the grid, but found a document on RCI and Disney with the following:

The RCI page shows that the DVC resorts are always Red season, but it appears that at least part of January is White season. We made a 1 bedroom reservation for January 29 to February 5 for 8,600 Bluegreen points. I'm not sure if there are other White season times. For Red season, a studio costs 9,000 Bluegreen points, a 1 bedroom is 11,000 points, and a 2 bedroom is 18,000 points.

So I guess it's hard to tell when Disney resorts are "white." And where did 8,600 come from? - Not from the chart. But at least this does give a basis for the normal point cost, so thanks! With only 9000 points and needing at least a 1 bedroom that accommodates 5 people, I'm hoping for white season during the winter (we would only go when it's cooler such as Dec, Jan, and Feb).

That's a good week, IMO. I was there last year for a few weeks, and that was the last slow week at the parks. The follwing week was considerably more crowded, and Pres Wk was horrible.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

        MY response........

You have to plan on paying the full amount and then be pleasantly surprised when you get white time instead of red.
So now you know anecdotally that parts of September and late January will be white.
The 8,600 comes from part if the week being red time and part white.
You will see this happen when you reserve on the BG website as well....you can have the same dates and one Resie will be 12,000 and one 12,600.... It has to do with the check in day of the underlying unit and the season changes.

END of my response, sorry this got stuck in the middle!

Oho! I never knew that! Interesting. And if I write it down somewhere, I might maybe even remember it more than a few minutes.

I see this all the time at La Cabana.
That resort has Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sunday deeded weeks.

and when the seasons overlap/it makes the points different for the same week depending on how many of the higher point week nights are included in your resie.

Personally, I think more people might be using an ongoing search to pick them up. I could care less about about the DVC's myself, as we rarely go to Orlando. I treat my sister to weeks there all the time but she loves the Marriotts and Bonnet Creek as much or more so 95% of the time I treat her to them. Oddly enough when my daughter went on her honeymoon we treated the happy couple to Disney. 1 week at Disney's Beach Club Villas and 1 week at Marriott"s Grande Vista and THEY liked the Marriott better too. Goes to show everyone has different tastes. When I have used an ongoing search for MANY things I have rarely been disappointed. Even England in the summer.

lol. That's what I was thinking when I read it - that I'll probably ask the question again in a year from now when I start looking again for DVC. I've been taking notes every so often, but then you have to know where you put them and read them.

I love Disney with little ones. I love a vacation with no driving, no car seats. And it's nice to have rides/entertainment that are for families, not a specific age group.

I mean, why wouldn't you put a search in if you want to go?

I have an OGS in for Late April 2015 that I started March 1, 2014 in weeks for a 1BR unit at 4 resorts, and I expect to get it. Just need to be patient.
With the opening of several new vacation club properties in the last 2-3 years, "old" owners are using their points for the newer properties leaving more deposits of the older resorts for us

Have also read that the window is now more like 7 months out as opposed to 10 months out before...
Did your OGS get picked up?
