RCI pisses me off !!

Everyone knows how hard it is to find a SUMMER ts week near Yellowstone. Well, stupid me thinks oh boy, this'll be great!! Depositrd TIMBBERS at Island Park. with RCI and they give me a lousy TPU of 17. 17!!!! WTF?? I couldn't even exchange for anywhere I wanted to go!! Most of what I wanted was 23. I knew I couldn't get anything like Disney, Manhatten Club, etc , but I was so disappointed. All of a sudden I get a email from RCI saying my deposit was being returned due to they couldn't determine what my week was. Did I know ?? No, well can you please call them again and find out??? WHAT I explained I was disappointed by the TPU's and informed them that I would gladly call and get it straightened out but that I would NOT give it back to them. So now, it's sitting in VRI where the exchange fees are cheaper and I can go to Sanibel or somewhere. I wasn't thinking straight. I should have done a direct exchange . Dumb. I may use it to go to Schooner's Landing in 2017 and then hook up another week.

Interval also takes this unit.
Looks like weeks 22-34 are highest demand.
Maybe you should try II.

I'm having a much better exchange experience with II lately.
You still get your 1 for 1 exchanges and will usually throw in an AC or two.

She could possibly do this with VRIety exchange.
Maybe even RCI with an ongoing search if she used her Wyndham points.
And a good possibility of success with II if she reserves a summer week and deposits early.

True. We all have our own sob stories of the unit we purchased for nothing that got us 2BRs in high season in the old days and RCI gives us 17 points lite for now. That was over 5 years ago. We have gotten rid of them, found another way to use them or rent them.

I think if you would get off that platform you would find that you have friends here. You just need to let go of the past in every post.

This is why I always check to see what the TPU value is for a resort before I deposit with RCI. You lucked out having it returned.

Less than 7 months from now? Anybody other than RCI.

If it is 2017 they should be shot for the scoundrels they are.

The TPU calculator is in the manage your deposits tab. You have to do it yourself. The agents can't and won't commit to a deposit that hasn't been verified.

Did you stay at your resort when you went to Yellowstone?
