RCI pisses me off !!

It was a 1BR with an August week ( think checking in on the 11th) I did try to find out before hand but they couldn't tell me ???? Tis OK, I know next time to go try II . or just put it in VRIety exchange. I did so love it before they went to tpu's. If Wyndham didn't pay my RCI dues I wouldn't be with them.

I rent when I want to go somewhere in particular during a specific week unless it is an off-season week. I can't deal with the hassles of exchanging.I rented at Worldmark West Yellowstone when we went. I plan to rent when we hopefully go to Durango next year. I use my ownership weeks at my home resort, occasionally exchanging my floater. When I exchange, I use Trading Places, DAE or Platinum Interchange, to name a few and I do manual searches until I find something and then I call and give them my week. if I don't find what I want, I just use it or I might consider depositing it for use another time, though that hasn't happened yet..

The deposit calculator says that for a 1br Week 32, you should get 20 points for 2016 and 21 for 2017 if you have a smaller 1br (4/2).

If you have a larger 1br (4/4), you should get 22 points for 2016 and 23 for 2017.

Still not great, but better than 17...

Is this a float week? If so, that might explain why you got the "wrong" TPU and RCI couldn't verify it---they though it was a different check-in day.

True. We all have our own sob stories of the unit we purchased for nothing that got us 2BRs in high season in the old days and RCI gives us 17 points lite for now. That was over 5 years ago. We have gotten rid of them, found another way to use them or rent them.

I think if you would get off that platform you would find that you have friends here. You just need to let go of the past in every post.

An August week at this resort would be a great trader in II.
Try to deposit 10-12 months out for the best bang. And Chris is correct in that you will most likely get an AC as well.

When RCI went to Points Lite, I quit depositing with them. I still had some time left on a long term cheap SA membership, but that clock has run down and I am now free from RCI. I still have deposits with UKRE, SFX, and DAE, where I do my trading now. SFX has gotten me in to London, something I was never able to do with RCI, and has even offered me two other London weeks. DAE has gotten me lots of good summer trades in Europe. I have gotten a couple of good offers from UKRE, but for times I could not go.

Who needs RCI and their numbers racket and rental racket? There are better options out there!
