I have had a request in for the royal resorts and the omni in cancun since march 05. We are looking for two weeks in a 2bedroom.,and have been confirmed for one week mar24 to 31. I do know that this is high season and have traded and been sucessful before so have been trying not to get too stressed. We are looking for a week before our confirmed date or a week after however several royal resort owners on trip advisor have stated that most of them do not give their units to an exchange company but rent out their units or trade among themselved. If this is the case why are these resorts listed in the II directory? or at least say limited exchange. In another week it will be 6 months we have waited and am wondering if I should JUST BE PATIENT. advice please. thanks

The week after is Spring Break in the NY area, VERY high demand. You might get lucky closer to the 60 day window, last minute deposits before 'flexchange' restrictions are imposed.

I d/n think a 'limited exchange' warning would be appropriate for the Royals. There are plenty of Royals weeks deposited into II, though not necessarily a lot of the specific weeks you are looking for... and we don't know what trading power issues are at play, either.

If it were me I would arrange for a 'backup rental' or alternative location, then hope for the best.
