    Mark,

Is this correct? As a gold member I can only put a request in 12 months before check in.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Mike - that is correct. Gold Members can request up to 12 months in advance. Platinum Members can request up to 18 months in advance. There also additional other benefits of Platinum Membership which can be reviewed on our website at www.sfx-resorts.com.

Mark, Is that 12 month restriction new? Does it apply if I call in and a unit is immediately available to book, for a stay more than 12 months in the future?

Moderator, Could you please move this to ask SFX so that Mark will see my question?

Calgal - thank you for your post. The 12 month window has always been the general rule. If you call in and request a week that is available more than 12 months in advance and it is immediately available... you can book it only if you are a Platinum Member.

                Mark,

A followup questions. What happens if you put in a request that is more than 12 or 18 months out? Does it sit there until the 12 or 18 month window is open or does one have to re-request later?

For example, I have requests out for summer of 2008 and 2009, knowing that I won't hear anything for a long time.

Mike - as a Gold or Platinum Member?

Mike - If you place a request that is more than 18 months out, your request will sit in queue (and in conjunction with trading power) until such time an 18 month window opens up. Keep in mind, most resorts do not allow weeks to be reserved more than 12 months in advance, which means in most cases there may not be any activity unit a 12 month or less window opens. The advantage of having an 18 month window is, it allows you to be further ahead in the waitlist.

                        Mark,

Thanks for your explanation. I went ahead and put in the requests for 2008 and 2009 because I know where I would like to go. Your explanation confirms what I believed would be happening with those early requests.

I really appreciate you and SFX participating on TS4MS to help us with our questions.

Bill - for Gold Members within their 12 month ability to place a reques, essentially yes. The queue is comprised of trading-power. Because most resorts don't allow Owners to reserve and deposit more than 12 months in advance, a 12 month in advance window has more trading activity taking place than an 18 month window. For those requesting 18 months out, there may be very little trading activity going on until the 12 month window appears.

                            Hope this helps...
