Yayyy! I've been wringing my hands over this one. Congrats!

P.S. I can't figure out RCI's bookkeeping for anything. Every time I talk to them on the phone, I ask if there's any money I should be refunded. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Complete mystery to me.

Pina coladas sound really good right now. Whew!!!: biggrin: Anyone else going to be there at the same time? We can all celebrate!

I realized after I had posted (and calmed down a bit) that I didn't lose the $$. It isn't like I cancelled an exchange, it was just on hold. But getting the refund is going to be another story I am sure. I wish I didn't have to actually call to request it.

I think somewhere along the line it asked if I wanted a refund, but at that point I hadn't decided for sure to release so I backed up. It didn't ask again.

Now, all I can say is this resort had better be worth all the extra gray hair I got in the last couple of hours.

Now I just have to figure out how to get there.

The hold feature on RCI is one thing I wish II would also do. But this shows that even with the "hold" you still need to watch the time.

II lets you confirm and then cancel w/in 24 hours (but not within 7 days of checkin)... In this case that would have been better for the OP!
