  • Anyone need an II AC?

I have three II accomodation certificates that expire in August, 2007. I most likely will not be able to use any of them. If anyone needs an AC, please let me know. You can pm or email me.

I am interested for use in 2007 and am aware I would need a guest certificate.

Such a nice offer. I guess it's too late to say that I am interested as well...

        Thanks!

          I've had 7 requests...

A question for the II masters: can an AC be transferred from my account to someone else's, or do I have to do the search myself?

          Thanks!

PCGirl, if you are still interested, send me a pm or email. You were the first person to make a request. I'm still trying to figure out if I can transfer the AC or if I have to do the search.

I don't think you can transfer the AC... if you could, I'd have been first in line. But since I'd only use it within the 60 day window it d/n seem to make sense.
              Anyone think different?

                redefined offer

Okay, having never offered up an AC before, I see this is a bit more complicated than I previously thought. I should have stated upfront that if anyone has a specific place they want me to search for and the AC can pull it, they are welcome to have the AC. It's really too complicated to run searches for something that might become available.

                Thanks!

                  Edye, What a nice offer!
I also have a few in my account.
As you found out, you can't transfer them to another account.
What you can do is if someone wants something that is 'on the grid' but not available when you look, you can put in an onging search. The person would have to pay the AC fee upfront.

One AC is gone. I still have one more. A few people have emailed/pmed, but no one has yet had a specific match.

Edye, make sure you know the person you offer it to, or at least know that person is well known to others here. I have a friend who, like you, generously offered an AC "over yonder". She got burned when the person who took her AC got a Disney week with it and turned around and put it on Ebay as a rental. It really sucked bigtime and got my friend into a major hassle. I don't want to make anybody paranoid, but the downside of generosity to complete strangers has to be taken into consideration.

Wow! That's awful! If anyone tried to rent the week out they'd have to go with no documentation because the guest certificate would be in the wrong name. The first one I gave away seemed completely legit from the back and forth pms that occured. But thanks for the warning, Carol! It's sad that people can be so ...
