  • 1 in 4 rule...what does this mean?

    I'm confused about this:

THE FOLLOWING RULES APPLY TO PUEBLO BONITO RESORTS INDIVIDUALLY,NOT AS A GROUP-ID #'S 4110,5704,1321,5792 & 2357. NON-OWNERS: 1/4YEARRULE IS STRICTLY ENFORCED. PUEBLO BONITO OWNERS: 1) 1/4YEARRULE IS WAIVED EXCLUSIVELY ONLY WHEN USING 1-4-1 EXCHANGES. NO MORE THAN 4 CONSECUTIVE AND/OR CONCURRENT UNITS PER RESORT.

For Pueblo Bonito owners, they say 1/4 rule is waived "exclusively" only when using 1-4-1 exchanges. Does that mean "one for one" or 1 in 4? Also what is meant by using the word "exclusively"? Also, would this rule apply only for exchanges or also for last calls and extra vacations? I actually was looking up PB availability in Extra Vacations, and that's where this fine print appeared. The wording used confuses me, sorry to say it could be just waking up from a long winter's nap.

Carol, I think that it means that even owners get the rule waved only when it is a 1-4-1 exanchange. I think that the one in 4 rule applies to exchangers except owners all of the time and to owners when it is not a 1 for 1 exchange. From what I understand it also applies to extra vacations and to last call stuff. From what the paragraph reads tho, it only applies to each individual resort and not to the resorts as a group as many of them do.

Is it just a misprint then? I never saw 1-4-1 used before, just 1/4 or 1 in 4.

Let me ask you this...do you read this to mean that one has to own a week there to be able to then use extra vacations or last calls without that pesky 1 in 4 restriction? (I do see that one is allowed only 4 weeks at a time.)

Thanks for taking the time to post!
