How hard is it to get DVC transfers?

Hello-

I'm planning on taking a trip to Disneyworld for a familiy reunion in early Nov 2008 (definately not around Thanksgiving, and yes, I like to plan ahead...). My father owns WM, and wants to use his points for the lodging for all of us. Here is my question- I'm not all that keen on the WM Orlando property, and am hoping that we could exchange for DVC instead. BUT we will need two 2BR units to accomodate all of us, and I am wondering there would be any realistic hope of exchanging for two DVC properties for the same week.

Actually, you should have a good shot at getting an early November week.....most likely you can exchange into Old Key West. My suggestion would be to put your request in using a 2BR worldmark deposit for both weeks and after the first unit is confirmed, call II and tell them you prefer to get your second unit in the same resort. DVC usually (but not always) deposits nits at the 10 month mark.

Many people here have gotten an exchange into DVC at that time of year, even with an accomodation certificate.
