I had a Efficiency as the Surf Club for January 21 - 28


But I really wanted a one bedroom. I passed one up earlier in the week, because it was the Ocean Club.



Well I just found another 1BR ocean club! So I decided it was mine!

$150 extra in fees, but at least now we have a living room area




But I'm still not sure about the Ocean Club property. It is not as "new" as the Surf Club. But yet the Surf Club still has construction......


What would you have chose to do?


Wait it out for a 1BR surf club to pop up? I've been waiting for what seems like eternity! And was getting worried that it just wasn't coming.

Keep what you got. It was well worth the extra $150.

Amy....you made the right decision. The Ocean Club is great, too, and it's closer to the hotel. The only feature that I didn't care for, was no dryer in the unit.

However, you couldn't have taken a chance that a Surf Club would have shown up.

I know but those were not the right dates. I already have my flights for the 21 - 28, so I needed to stick to those dates.


Its just hubby & I, so the 1BR is definitely plenty of room.



The other even better part of this change! Which makes the $150 even better!! I had a replacement week that was due to expire on March 23, and I have no time right now to use it. It was given to me, after I had to cancel an exchange in April due to my cancer treatment.

Well I made the 1BR exchange with that replacement week!! And then I cancelled the first exchange, for the efficiency. Which now gives me until January 6, 2008 to use the replacement week!

That is a big sense of relief

Don't second guess yourself....you'll love it! We've exchanged into the Ocean Club twice and have had a wonderful trip each time. Enjoy Aruba! If you want any advice about where to eat, what to do, etc, check out the Visit Aruba bulletin board!

The Ocean club has been totally refurbished and is up to the same standards as the Surf club - the only difference is no washer/dryer in the unit. Both the ocean and surf club have free laundry facilities for guests.
