A good test right now for trade power in II

I've been using this for a few weeks now. If you want to know the "power" of your week, a good test right now is Xmas and New Years weeks in Palm Springs 2007 (12/20/07 to 1/05/08). A very good trader will see the 2 bedroom units at the Marriotts and Westin (new years only at the Westin), a decent trader will see 1 bedroom units only and an okay trader will see only studios. If you see nothing, the week is not very good.

I've really seen the effect of a 1 vs. 2 bedroom trader. Some 1 bedroom units in hard to exchange for spots (5 star socal coastal summer) will not see the 2 bedrooms. I was surprised by that. I've always heard that number of bedrooms is a big deal in II and I now see this is truly the case.

but how do the Starwood and Marriott priorities play into this? Wouldn't this only test the power of a Marriott and/or Starwood property, or are you seeing them with a good non-Marriott/Starwood trader?

Well, I see one bedrooms in MDS II, Shadow Ridge, and Westin, but only eff in MDS I. I only have a one bedroom at Suites at Fisherman's Wharf. Actually, I don't have a deposit right now, so I am requesting first? Wonder if that makes a difference?

Bluebeards BeachClub 3 studio - nope for Holiday weeks

IPV 29 1BR sleep 2 private/4 total - freakin' II !!! this is why they will never get this week - pulls all 3 Marriotts - studios only for the Holidays.
Westin - they let me se the 1BRs only after the holiday.

Marriott 2BR gold - same as FWM 25 1BR

Platinum Marriott 1BR - same as FWM 25 1BR

so NO 2BRs for me - do you see any 2BRs now?

I can see 2 bedrooms at with a 2 bedroom platinum week, including 12/28 2 bedroom at Westin Mission Hills...

I just searched with my WorldMark account and I see 12 resorts including the Marriott Desert Springs I&II and Shadow Ridge (several 2 bedroom units) and the 2 bedroom Westin Mission Hills unit.

Good to see that WorldMark still as strong trading power.
